The Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books |
| The Bulletin Dozen is a monthly theme-based booklist
available as an online-only Bulletin feature. Since we're awfully
fond of bakers here at the Bulletin, we thought we'd adopt their
philosophy of generosity and throw in an extra one or two when we have them
to offer--so don't expect an even dozen. Please feel free to copy, download,
or link to these lists. We ask only that you cite the source. See the archive for lists from previous months.

When Pigs Fly, Paint, Cook, Dream . . . :
A Porcine Dozen From a family of French pigs living in Ames, Iowa to a pig named for a fancy French sparkling water, this month's Dozen goes hog wild with pigs stories. While The Three Little Pigs is conspicuously absent, one of the titles explores the life of the surviving pig. And for those who prefer fact to fiction, there is an information book on pigs. So if you know readers who like Olivia or would like to meet her and others like her, check out this month's Dozens! |
